NEW TECHINCIAN AIR AMBULANCE RESCUE

Thu 4/08/2011

As I'm sure many of you are aware, at the beginning of July
our recently employed technician Jon Charles, injured himself falling back against a diet feeder blade while he was welding the inside of the feeder. I would like to inform you that
Jon is now finally at home resting and healing from his accident - The acutal injury he sustained on the day has healed beautifully, but he has had complications regarding his breathing and has had to have a second operation only 10 days ago, but he is now well on the way to a full recovery.

We are all looking forward to his return to work, even though Jon had only been with us for 8 weeks before his accident but within that time he had made quite an impact with all the staff, due to his skills as an engineer and as genuine good lad. We wish Jon well and hope for a speedy recovery.

I would like to say a big thank you to all the emergency services for their speedy attendence on the day- the Land ambulance and the Air ambulance both arrived within 6 mins of the 999 call, then soon after the Fire units arrived with the Police. Jon was air lifted to James Cook within 25 mins of the accident happening, which was just fantastic, Jon could not have been in better hands.

The Air Ambulances all over England are all Charities, no public funding is available to this emergency service and survive purely on public and commercial donations - so that is why it is so important we support them with our generous donations to keep them flying.

As you know we support and raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and you can go to their website www.yorkshireairambulance.org.uk if you would like to find out a bit more about this fantastic charity.
