DECEMBER 08 - FAMILY ARTISTS AND FRAMERS AT BUNGALOW FARM Thu 6/11/2008 A big family welcome to Cousin Julia and hubby David, who have recently moved from Wiltshire to North Yorkshire, getting back to their Northern roots and also bringing their artistic talents back up North with them. Cousin Julia is a well known equine and landscape artist working in oils, pastels and water colours - Julia has produced many pieces of commissioned art work taken from a favourite family photo to working with well known celebrities, Julia also has a successful framing side to the business which also compliments her own work. David is an exceptional printmaker and photographer - specialising in the age old process of Etching, this process is to produce a beautiful piece of fine art from a photograph. An example of his work is shown to the right of this page - it is an etching of a slide I came across of ten month old Brian and his Grandfather during haytime in 1961 at their farm in Whitby - this will be a family heirloom as these etchings can last upto 400 years, far longer than any photograph. Julia and David have recently launched a joint venture by marrying their talents to combine Julias artistic talent with Davids printmaking expertise, they are now producing beautiful handmade letterpress stationary for, weddings, business, personal, corporate and social events - outstanding quality letterpress and design work which is very personal to each individual order. If you would like to see Julia and Davids work or ask about framing please click onto their website or call into their studio at Bungalow Farm and they will be happy to help and advise you. |
