LOLER and PUWER Testing
Don't understand the new regulations? We can help
What is LOLER and PUWER and what does it mean to you?
Basically LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) ensures that all equipment that is designed to lift things, whether it's a forklift truck or a bottle jack, must meet the requirements of ensuring it is strong enough, stable enough and suitable for its intended purpose.
Whereas PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations) requires the inspection of work equipment and mobile work equipment. In general the regulations require that the work equipment is suitable for its intended use, maintained in a safe condition and used only by people who have received adequate information, instruction and training.
We have invested a lot of time and money in being able to provide a full testing service to both of these regulations. We have four qualified Thorough Examiners, who will ensure the requirements are fully complied with.
