To celebrate 35 successful years since Brian started trading, we held an Open Day here at East Cowton on the 4th of May 2017.
We had a wide range of the latest new tractors and machinery on display and were strongly supported by many of our agricultural suppliers. We had representatives from Valtra, Merlo, Krone, Pottinger, Joskin, Kuhn, Kongskilde, Richard Western, Spearhead, TRP and Eschlbock here to show everybody around their machines and answer any questions.
Our complementary refreshments were very popular with everybody enjoying the hot sandwiches and ice cream on offer.
There were plenty of deals to be done on the day with our parts department offering a 10% discount on all parts and accessories. There were also some special deals provided by Milwaukee Tools, GYS, Ariat and SIP who all had show stands here.
Our website designers Geonet Solutions were in attendance to highlight and answer any questions about our new website.
Although there was lots to see, the Pink Valtra Tractor and Krone Big X both seemed to draw a lot of attention.
We were lucky enough to have the Yorkshire Air Ambulance touch down and it drew quite a crowd. Thankfully it was after the schools had finished so there were plenty of children about who got the opportunity to get inside the helicopter. We are pleased to say that we managed to take £1,200 in donations and raffle money, which we know will be put to good use.
It had been six years since our last open day here at East Cowton so we were really pleased to welcome over 500 visitors on the day. It was also great to see plenty of new faces amongst them and we hope you all enjoyed your time here as much as we enjoyed having you.
